Description: Pages have folds to make different scenes and reveal a surprise underneath
Condition: Very Good. See photos. One page re-attached. All movable pages complete. One fold repaired with thin piece of brown tape at one time. No markings. Original boards in good shape. It appears that the spine was expertly reinforced at some point. Normal edge wear.
Collectors Corner:
Daniel Lothrop formed his publishing company in 1868. Daniel Lothrop died in 1892 and his wife Harriet Lothrop (Pansy) ran the company until 1895 when it was bought out and the name changed the name to Lothrop Publishing Company. The company went bankrupt in 1904.
*Dating Lothrop books is fairly easy as he changed names several times.
The name Lothrop Publishing Company was used from 1895-1904.
