Book Description:

Humberto (Circus)

Created by Czech illustrator Vladimír Kovařík (1913 - 1982)

1960's panoscopic style pop-up with large pop-up.

Condition: Good - see photos. String is still intact! The loose acrobat is still there! The free swinging acrobat, being a loose piece, is usually missing. Note: Part of one of her arms has been replaced with an exact match. Otherwise excellent pop-up. Book as shown - good a bit bumpy - slight wear to corners couple spots on front - see photos..

Note about Humberto - Due to being similar in style, this pop-up is often confused as a Kubasta. It appears to be a deliberate copy of Kubasta's large panoscopic style pop-ups. The size as well as the method of splitting into the middle, and the technical property of the pops closing into one another are similar techniques.

We were able to get confirmation from Kubasta's estate that Humberto was NOT done by Kubasta.
