Beautiful Movable Dress book.There are four hand-colored full-page illustrations with a variety of luxurious mounted fabrics such as
silk, netting, linen and felt. The 4th one is a movable with Rudolph and Susanna driving horses. Rudolph moves back and forth on his horse by way of a finger push, quite interesting.
According to the National Library of the Netherlands, these were called Stofboeken

In the sixties of the nineteenth century, a new kind of children's books appeared: the so-called 'dust books'. Publisher A. Tjaden from Deventer, Lina published the missing child and Rudolf and Suzanna. The main characters depicted wear clothes of real textile. Carefully small pieces of dust are stuck on the plates to achieve a three-dimensional effect. There are three such dust books in the Netherlands; All three are made to English examples.
*We have However, not been able to identify the English examples, but it would possibly be by Dean & Son. The cover states that the book was adapted after the English, and was written by the author of Lina. (Lina was the Dutch adaptation of Rose Merton, the little orphan, published as Dean's new dress book in 1860.) It is clear that this book is made after an English example. Despite the similar content however, Rose did not serve as a model for Lina, the missing child. The only other similar fabric book that we know of in English is Bennett's new drawing room dress books : Beauty and the beast. London : E.C. Bennett, Holly St. S. Dalston [ca. 1860]
6 leaves : ill. (col. and dressed) ; 26 cm Beauty's skirts are all overlaid with contemporary fabrics as dressed prints.
The dutch books don't match that one either.
The forty-page book tells the story of siblings Rudolph and Susanna, who were orphaned at a
young age and have lived in poverty but stayed good children. Growing up Rudolph goes to the colonies in the East Indies
where he succeeds in making a fortune. Back at home he is able to live in wealth, together with his reunited
sister Susanna.

This book was published in 1862 and has 6 dressed plates without a movable. See images below (This book is not for sale)
Both picture books with a lithographed soft cover are illustrated, the first with six, the other with four color lithographs by P.W.M. Stairs in Leiden.

The third clothing book is of a very different nature: . It includes 8 satirical "dessed" prints, each with a four-line caption. The main character is Miss Carabas.
 
The books above are the first editions. we know about later editions because in the Nieuwsblad voor den Boekhandel of January 1878, at least among the recently published books, we again find the first two titles in small format, now with sixteen pages and only two plates.
