Les Canetons Intelligents
Vojtech Kubasta - 1967 - Artia Prague
Les Editions Mondiales Paris - Impime en Techecoslovaquie
Very rare Kubasta, likely made only for French market. This title does not even appear in the Bienes Center catalog. It utilizes a paper engineering folding technique not seen in other Kubasta's. 12 pages are created by accordion folds of one sheet of light cardboard. All figures are cut from and lift from this. Kubasta's printed signature is seen twice in the book.
Translates to "Smart Ducklings". Absolutely adorable story see story description below.
6 pop-up pictures, one (paddles) with movement as well.
Condition: Very Good. All pop-ups in excellent working all original condition. Spine is in very good condition though slightly cocked. Well bound. One pop-up page shows the stain of old tape - on the page - not the pop-up (see photo). Boards have slight edgewear.
