About the Bonus newspaper included with this book:
"The Village Voice," was a pioneering alternative weekly newspaper in the United States, was established in 1955. Renowned for its distinct approach to news and cultural reporting, it served as a voice for New York City's artistic community.

This edition, hailing from the era of counter-culture, is a 40-page tabloid. It features a single fold across the middle and is preserved in good condition.

Provenance: This copy originated from The Village Voice's own collection, this issue was part of their internal archive, which aided in the development of their digital repository. Vintagepopupbooks acquired it directly from Timothy Hughes, owner of “History’s Newstand.” According to his blog, “ The Village Voice, the iconic newspaper from Greenwich Village, recently stopped printing new issues. However, over the years they had saved samples of a majority of their issues for the purpose of eventually creating a digital archive, and once done, we were able to procure the lion’s-share of their own collection.”
