Collector’s Corner:
Vojtech Kubasta (1914–1992) was a master of mid-century paper engineering. His Panascopic Model Book series, produced in the 1960s by Artia in Prague and distributed by Bancroft in London, revolutionized the pop-up format with elaborate fold-out scenes integrated into pictorial narratives. An American Indian Camp reflects the romanticized Western view of Native American culture typical of European publications from the era.
