Description: Cut and Paste book. This album features 6 pages prepared for the application of paste pictures. It includes instructions for using Talens Gluton, a popular adhesive. The album is in excellent condition with all pages intact and pictures already perfectly pasted in. Boards show some wear - see photos.
Notes: Undated - In an article by Dutch Movable book expert, Theo Gielen (1946-2015), he stated a publishing date of 1923

Collector's Corner:
"Onze Lievelingen" and "Onze Vacantiedagen" appear to be the only two cut-and-paste books published by Allert de Lange.
The Allert de Lange publishing house was established in Amsterdam by Gerard de Lange Lange, Allert de (1855–1933) in 1895
Initially a bookseller at Damrak no. 62, where he lived above the shop, Allert de Lange expanded into publishing. The firm gained recognition for publishing a wide range of literary works, thanks to the financial backing from Allert's marriage to Rijkje Middelhoven, whose family was involved in the timber trade. This financial support allowed the firm to grow and establish a significant presence in the Dutch publishing industry (Wikipedia, de vrije encyclopedie).
It is interesting to note that It was Allert de Lange, an established Amsterdam trade publisher, who first went into the German exile publishing business (1933) - However, these operations ceased following the further tightening of Nazi control over occupied territories.
