- Very Good. Complete and working. Pages prefessionally resewn. Original back strip in very good condition. Original tabs reinforced. All movables working. All movable parts original except that the girls arm and the bear on the sugar house scene are restorations. They are correct facilimes copied from original pieces. See photos. Else bright and clean - see photos.

Interesting twist in that instead of a wicked witch we have a bear pursuing the children.
* Krahé 50th - Krahé, Gameworld 48. - Ries S. 711, 39. - First edition, rare. - Publisher's number. 46². - According Krahé there were two movable editions, 1887 and 1891. The images were redrawn after an 1876 edition, which was illustrated by someone else. Meggendorfer recreated the images and made them movable in 1887.
