No date - but dated in Montanaro as 1890
Length 6 pages – 7.5” X 9.25” (19 X 24 cm)
Description – Wonderful book with the following movable elements – Six individual pop-up pages, Lift the flap cover, and it’s also a panorama “fold out” and “stand up” book that extends out to 37 1/2 inches.
This book is pictured on page 14 of “Collector’s Guide to Raphael Tuck & Sons” by Blair & Margaret Whitton. Whitton observes that it is “Similar in style and construction to “ A Day In The Forest”, it has the same markings with additional markings “ Designed at the Studios in England and printed at Fine Art Works in Bavaria.”
Quite rare - The only other copy that we can find online is in the Osborne Collection, Toronto Public Library.
Condition - Excellent - All original, complete, and working. See photos
Collector's Corner:
This particular series of Raphael Tuck books have little doors that open on the front cover and the images on each page are hinged and pull forward. Size 9 1/2 x 7 1/2 in.
